PDLC liquid crystal electronically controlled dimming film, or intelligent dimming glass, can be adjusted by the voltage to realize the transition between transparent and opaque glass. The power-on state is transparent, and the power-off state is frosted. With the help of the electric field principle of dimmable liquid crystal glass, it can conveniently protect privacy while maintaining the transparency of the space. However, the cost of PDLC glass is relatively expensive, and the cost of single-vehicle sunroof glass may cost several thousand dollars.

PVB laminated glass has been widely used in the automotive industry, and most of the laminated glass currently on the market is made of PVB materials. PVB glass interlayer film is a polymer material formed by plasticizing and extruding polyvinyl butyral resin with plasticizer 3GO (trimethylene glycol diisocaprylate). The thickness of PVB glass interlayer film is generally 0.38mm and 0.76mm. It has good adhesion to inorganic glass and has the characteristics of transparency, heat resistance, cold resistance, moisture resistance, and high mechanical strength. PVB film is mainly used for laminated glass, which is to sandwich a layer of PVB film with polyvinyl butyral as the main component between two pieces of glass. PVB laminated glass has many functions such as safety, heat preservation, noise control, and ultraviolet isolation.
